....the three most important things in life, and as a friend had caught on, you can only guess how the three are ordered as priorities in my life. :)

Asian Hair
If you know about Asian hair, this picture needs no explaining.. Yes, Asian hair defies gravity. Jayden's hair is no exception - still, I'm amazed at how high his hair was after his bath.

Back to birth weight
All of us are all feeling a little better, now that Jayden has regained enough weight to be back to his birth weight of 9 lbs. He had lost 10% of his weight within a few days, so it is very exciting that he regained all of that within the first two weeks, which is the typical norm. He has been drinking 3oz of formula every 2-3 hours and has been a very good eater. Mom and dad are very proud of him. Grandma gets the MVP award for getting him on a good eating schedule.
I'm still waiting for his rolls to come back - when will they appear again?

Baby Love
Babies help you realize how lucky you are to have family and how much they have sacrificed to raise you. You can only hope you can be as good of parents as they were to you.
I love how babies bring the family together. My parents have gotten to know Joe's parents better during family dinners. This is the crew that is needed to take care of baby and mommy. We've also gotten a lot of visitors and that has been really fun.
J.J.
Joe is an amazing father and has helped out enormously as I recover from my c-section. He is so good at comforting Jayden and I just love my J.J. combo. Joe can't wait for Jayden to grow up as he already has plans to take him regularly to Toys R Us and Disneyland.
Jayden T. Wong
Introducing our little eater - Jayden T. Wong - born 2/7/2012 at 12:40pm. He weighed 9lbs, and was 21.5 inches in length. I really couldn't get over how big he was. How did he possibly fit in my stomach?
He has already proven himself as a Wong - his food needs to be on time or there will be problems. He eats his food diligently and it is just memorizing to see him down his bottle.
Our hearts couldn't be fuller with love, we are just so excited and feel so blessed to hold him in our arms. With the arrival of this little guy and all the things that come along with it, I've learned to live humbly and to be thankful of all that God has given us. It is fitting that Jayden means "thankful".

Chicken Adobo
I never really understood what Chicken Adobo was all about, until Joe's Aunty made it. I was completely hooked - I loved the intense flavor with a twang. This recipe still doesn't taste exactly like her version, but it's still pretty tasty.
the real deal - chicken soup
This recipe from the Woman Pioneer blog is pure genius. I adore her blog in general and her recipes are fantastically simple and amazingly good. I love this soup. It comes out sweet and succulent. It really is the real deal. It's a little more work because it's from scratch, but boy, can you taste the love.
