Joe discovered this little gem during a work day when his co-workers took him to this Federal Way joint for lunch. He fell in love with the Ramen and had been hankering to go back ever since. This conversation has come up on more than one occasion:
Joe: Honey, I have a great idea of what we should do today!
Me: What?
Joe: We need to go to Federal Way because I have to take you to that Ramen place that I really like.
Me: Did you forget that we live in Lynnwood?? There is no way I'm willing to drive down there, just for the Ramen.
Joe: Fine, but you are missing out...
Me: I don't care how good that Ramen is...
To back up, Joe and I have done a lot for "excellent" Ramen and unfortunately, we have been disappointed. We stood in a 45 minute line at a Ramen joint called Kintaro in Vancouver, BC and when we were finally seated, we felt like sardines. All of this would have been okay if the ramen tasted good. But that was not the case. This is where I learned that I really don't like Miso Ramen and that the definition of BBQ pork in a Ramen shop is so much different than Chinese BBQ pork. So a little gun shy, it would take a lot for me to want to go out of the way for Ramen again.

| At Kintaro, the "BBQ pork" was a huge hunk of tasteless meat - very disappointing! |
A few weeks ago, Joe and I finally got a chance to eat at I love Ramen and it did not disappoint! I stuck with the Shiyo Ramen which has a much lighter soup base and I really liked it. I still would not be willing to drive down there just for the Ramen, mainly because friends have recommended Aloha Ramen, which is much closer to us. So that is next on the list!
